Due to COVID 19 restrictions, our workshops and courses had to be put on hold and some moved online.  We are currently arranging a range of new courses to run in accordance with the up to date restrictions taking place online and in person.  Please check back for regular updates 

 

1) Stressbusting for Parents of Children with Additional Needs - Online

Stressbusting for Parents who have children with additional needs, is a grant funded course that runs for 10 weeks.  We have previously run a series of these across Primary Schools in more deprived areas of Bristol. Our aim is to support parents who might not be able to access a private mindfulness course.  Our next course will take place online starting on 24th September 2021 for parents of children with special needs.

 

There are two taster sessions on the 10th and the 17th September.

The aim of this course is to:

Look at how to manage the stress and frustration that comes from life as a parent.  This course supports parents to notice stressful situations and learn mindfulness-based techniques to respond calmly to children. 

When life gets tough, relationships with our children can be a source of additional worry and anxiety.  We sometimes feel we do not have the resources or time to respond to them in the way that we would wish.

Mindfulness for Parents will support you in your role as a parent. 

It will help you to:

  • Feel more confident about being a parent

  • Manage how stress and frustration affects you during difficult moments

  • Recognise and manage difficult / strong / uncomfortable emotions

  • Help you to talk with, and listen to your children

  • Strengthen the parent/child bond and improve your communication

2) Stressbusting for Parents - In Person

Another grant funded course taking place in St Pauls to serve parents local to this area.  This Stressbusting Course is being run in person at Bannerman Road Children's Centre on Fridays from 9.30 - 11.30 am.  The Course starts on Friday 5th November and runs for 10 weeks (term time only).

The aim of this course is to:

3) Mindfulness for Parents and Carers - Online

An evening course taking place online from 6.30 - 9pm as from 16th November 2021 that will look at how to manage the stress and frustration that comes from life as a parent.  This course supports parents to notice stressful situations and learn mindfulness-based techniques to respond calmly to children. 

When life gets tough, relationships with our children can be a source of additional worry and anxiety.  We sometimes feel we do not have the resources or time to respond to them in the way that we would wish.

It will help you to:

Costs for this course are £220 (waged) and £180 unwaged.  The course costs includes a free Retreat Day.  Please email us if you are interested in finding out more about this course.

4) Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Course

Due to run in January 2022 and will run for eight week with a retreat day included in the price of the course.

The dates for this course are due to be confirmed shortly.

The cost for the course is £150 (waged).  You can pay for the course in instalments of £50/£20 if you prefer.
