We adhere to the BAMBA Good Practice Guidelines and relevant legislation in terms of service delivery.

Claire-Louise Symonds

Claire-Louise has over 20 years’ experience supporting individuals and families to improve their wellbeing. A qualified yoga teacher, yoga therapist and mindfulness teacher, she has been practising yoga and meditation for over 15 years and combines these approaches to help people build resilience, reduce stress and reconnect with themselves.

She is the founder of the Viveka Centre for Being, where she offers yoga, yoga therapy, meditation and Thai Yoga Massage. Claire-Louise has also taught internationally, including in Bali, and at a variety of festivals and community wellbeing events.

Alongside her wellbeing work, Claire-Louise has extensive experience supporting families, particularly those affected by domestic abuse, and has trained in numerous evidence-based parenting programmes. She completed her Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) training through Bangor University and has progressed to Advanced Teacher status through the Supervised Teaching Pathway.

Claire-Louise is passionate about helping parents and families strengthen emotional resilience, deepen their relationships and create lasting positive change.

Donna Person

Donna has over 20 years’ experience supporting children, adults and families with their emotional wellbeing and mental health. She is a qualified integrative counsellor and experienced mindfulness teacher based in Clifton, Bristol, with specialist training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) through Bangor University.

Throughout her career, Donna has supported individuals experiencing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, attachment difficulties, postnatal depression, chronic health conditions and domestic abuse. She has also trained as a facilitator in several recognised parenting programmes and has developed and delivered training for professionals.

Donna offers a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where people can reconnect with themselves, explore life’s challenges, and develop greater resilience, healing and emotional wellbeing.

Carol Powell

As well at working with MPCP, Carol is the founder of Chatterminds and has over 20 years’ experience supporting children, young people and families. She is a primary trained teacher and her career has taken her from inner-city primary schools and specialist SEND settings to educational placements in the USA, the Cayman Islands and Namibia, working with children aged 3–18 with a wide range of needs.

A qualified mindfulness teacher, Carol has trained with Bangor University and MiSP, bringing together evidence-based mindfulness, education and a deep understanding of child development. She is passionate about helping children build emotional resilience, confidence and self-awareness while supporting parents to navigate family life with greater calm and compassion.

As a parent herself, Carol understands that family life can be wonderfully rewarding but also incredibly challenging. Having experienced postnatal depression after the birth of both of her children, she knows first-hand the importance of looking after our own wellbeing. This personal experience, combined with her professional background, enables her to offer genuine empathy alongside practical, effective strategies.

Suzanne Lloyd

Suzanne has been practising mindfulness for over a decade and has been teaching mindfulness since 2015. Driven by a passion for understanding how the mind works, she is dedicated to helping people develop greater self-awareness, resilience and emotional wellbeing through mindfulness.

She holds a Postgraduate Certificate and Postgraduate Diploma in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapies and Approaches from the University of Exeter, graduating with merit, and is a BAMBA-registered mindfulness teacher, committed to ongoing professional development and ethical practice.

Suzanne has designed and delivered mindfulness programmes for organisations across the South West, including local councils, and brings a wealth of teaching experience from a career spanning modern languages, English language education and the International Baccalaureate Organisation. Her warm, supportive approach helps people reconnect with themselves, reduce stress and build lasting wellbeing.
