Claire-Louise Symonds

Claire-Louise has been practising yoga and meditation for 15 years. She trained as a yoga teacher and yoga therapist with the Inner Yoga Trust in 2006 and has been teaching yoga and meditation for the past eight years, as well as using yoga therapeutically on a one to one basis with people who have specific ailments.

 

Claire-Louise is also qualified to practice Thai Yoga Massage (Body Wisdom). This training included a diploma in Anatomy and Physiology. She has also taught in Bali and at numerous festivals and community events. She currently works for Community Conscious providing low cost sessions for those who are more vulnerable. In terms of working with families and more vulnerable people.

 

Claire-Louise has trained as a facilitator in a number of parenting courses (Nurturing Programme, Parents Plus Adolescents Programme, Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities, Freedom, Recovery Toolkit, Speakeasy, Solihull, Watch, Wait and Wonder) and has worked in a supportive role with families since 2004, particularly supporting women who have experienced domestic abuse and violence. 

 

Claire-Louise received her Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction/Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy training with Bangor University Teacher Training (Levels 1 and 2), and has completed the Supervised Teaching Pathway as an advanced teacher. 

Claire-Louise is has been offering Mindfulness to Parents Courses to vulnerable parents as a way of supporting them to reconnect with their children and other family members through building emotional resilience.
