Stressbusting for Parents

Stressbusting for Parents is a grant funded course that runs for 10 weeks.  We will run a series of these across Primary Schools in more deprived areas of Bristol.

The aim of this course is to:

Look at how to manage the stress and frustration that comes from life as a parent.  This course supports parents to notice stressful situations and learn mindfulness-based techniques to respond calmly to children.

When life gets tough, relationships with our children can be a source of additional worry and anxiety.  We sometimes feel we do not have the resources or time to respond to them in the way that we would wish.

Mindfulness for Parents will support you in your role as a parent.

It will help you to:

  • Feel more confident about being a parent

  • Manage how stress and frustration affects you during difficult moments

  • Recognise and manage difficult / strong / uncomfortable emotions

  • Help you to talk with, and listen to your children

  • Strengthen the parent/child bond and improve your communication

Mindfulness for Schools

If you are interested in bringing Mindfulness into your school either for the teachers or the children then please get in touch and we can discuss the best way to bring this about.

Here is some information from Prof Katherine Weare about the impact that mindfulness can have on both teachers and children.
